Bishop Harry L. Herman is married to Dr. "Jerry" and on October 9, 1999 they celebrated 50 years of happiness together. He is the Father of five sons (one deceased). He has been saved for 50 years, having received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost in July 1949. Bishop Herman has served in the ministry for 44 years, since March 1955. He was elevated to the office of Bishop in March 1989, and consecrated into the office in Louisville KY the same year. He served as Diocesan of the Minnesota, Wisconsin, Dakotas Council for 6 ½ years. In March 1996, he was appointed the Diocesan of the Northern District Council, which is the 5th Episcopal District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Inc. Prior to his elevation as Bishop he served as a District Elder in the NDC, and served two terms as Council Chairman of the Northern District Council.

For the last 27 years Bishop Herman has pastored Christ Temple Church in Kalamazoo, MI where the late Bishop R. P. Paddock served for 37 ½ years.

He was Director of the ICEA for 6 years, served as Chairman of the PAW Judiciary Committee for 6 years and has been re-appointed to serve as a member of the Judiciary Committee by Presiding Bishop Wagner. He serves on the Executive Bishop's Council, is a member of the Board of Bishops, and has been appointed to be Director of the Sacred Trust Department by the Presiding Bishop, the Honorable Bishop Norman L. Wagner.

Bishop Herman is the author of several books, "A Study Guide of the Principles of the Apostolic Doctrine", "Church Government", "So You've Been Born Again", "The Manna Table" and "A Pastor's Thoughts" along with a printed convention sermon "Let's Rebuild the Altar" and a seminar for ministers, "The Evidence Of One's Calling".
